It is a privilege to be part of a dedicated team caring for others in the community. Every interaction with patients is different every day. My goal is to provide the best possible healthcare, keep communication open so patients are included in care decisions, and empower patients to care for themselves and their family members when they return home. I chose SRMC because small, rural hospitals often allow us to practice healthcare across the spectrum. SRMC has a team with various experts from whom I can learn. I love interacting with patients and practicing the art and science of nursing as a family nurse practitioner. I am a slow runner, a terrible knitter, and I love to spend time with family. I am an experienced solo backpacker; the best part is being completely unplugged in the back country (if I don’t encounter a mountain lion).
