Heart rhythm disorders and arrhythmias are almost always stressful, sometimes quite complex, and potentially very debilitating. It is my role as an electrophysiologist to not just treat the arrhythmia itself but to also honor and integrate each patient’s preferences in forming a comprehensive treatment plan. First and foremost, I make it a priority for my patients to be well informed of their diagnosis and management options. This is critical to alleviate some of the stress associated with heart rhythm disorders. From there, we can jointly decide on the most appropriate treatment strategy for the condition ranging from lifestyle modifications, medications, or procedures. Finally, I will always deliver my highest quality of care in the clinic, at the bedside, or while performing cardiac procedures on each patient’s journey toward recovery. My research interests focus on clinical predictors for arrhythmias while my engineering background steers me toward investigating new technologies to treat heart rhythm disorders. I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and recently relocated to Colorado with my wife and our three children.
