It is extremely important to the SRMC team to provide resources and support for those in our region. We offer our conference rooms for free so other non-profit organizations may have a safe and comfortable place to provide important education and information to those in need.

Alcoholics Anonymous / Narcotics Anonymous / Al-Anon Family Group

Al-Anon is for families with loved ones who have addiction problems. They meet every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at 1904 4th Street, Sidney, NE 69162. Contact Tara T. at 308-524-0230 or Matt N. at 308-249-2040 for more information.

Celebrate Recovery – Sidney

This support group is non-denominational, Christ-centered, and is for anyone with any type of hurt, habit, or hang-up, such as substance abuse, addiction, co-dependency, eating disorders, or grief. They meet every Monday from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, located at 1129 10th Avenue, Sidney, NE 69162. They share a fellowship dinner at 5:30, a lesson or testimony, an encouraging video, sing worship songs, and then have their large group gathering from 6:30-7:30. MS Friends & Family Community Support Group

This group hosts monthly meetings at the Pole Creek Campus to provide education and resources to support those with multiple sclerosis and family and friends who help those diagnosed with MS. Contact the Physical Therapy department for active classes at 308-254-5825 x1453.

Virtual Suicide Loss Support Group

For those who have lost a friend or loved one to suicide, this virtual support group meets via Zoom the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 5:30 p.m. MST. For more information, reach out to Liz MacDonald at [email protected] or 308-633-2866 x204.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF): Understanding Grief When Your Child Dies

Senior Social Hour is a peer support group for anyone typically 65 years or older that focuses on fun and creativity while providing support and snacks. This social hour focuses on the process and not the end result for the artwork and is every Wednesday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

SRMC offers a 16-week Diabetes Prevention Program to individuals who are at risk of developing diabetes. Those eligible to participate in the program must be 18 years of age or older, overweight, have risks of developing diabetes or currently have pre-diabetes, or were clinically diagnosed with gestational diabetes during a previous pregnancy.
