Jason Petik, Chief Executive Officer at SRMC, and Shannon McCartney, representing the Legion Baseball Program, met in May to discuss our “Grand Slam” sponsorship for the Legion Baseball Program. During their conversation, Jason inquired if there was anything SRMC could provide for the Sidney Baseball Team and their facilities. Shannon informed him that he had noticed the majority of Legion Fields contained an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to use for emergencies. Since Sidney Regional Medical Center is the prominent healthcare facility in Sidney, Jason recognized that an AED was the perfect gift to offer the program. Not long after, on June 11th, Jason presented the Sidney Baseball Team with a new AED that could save a life. Now, Sidney players and their opponents can slide into safety with an AED nearby for any emergencies!
